US-based Spoetzl Brewery is set to expand its Brewer’s Pride series with the introduction of Fresh Hop IPA beer.

This India pale ale (IPA) is a fragrant beer with 65 international bittering units (IBU). It offers aromatic hints of apricot and peach with subtle grassy and citrusy notes.

The hops for the product were said to have been closely monitored throughout the harvesting process and cut from the bine at the peak of freshness.

The Amarillo hops were harvested in Crosby Hop Farm in Woodburn, Oregon. They were placed in brew kettles for 36 hours at Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas.

Shiner Master Brewer Jimmy Mauric said: “For decades, Shiner has produced award-winning classic and new-style beer offerings, reserving some of the finest seasonal and speciality releases for the quarterly Brewer’s Pride series.

With 6.8% alcohol by volume (ABV), Fresh Hop IPA will be available across the US from next month for a limited time period.

It will be available in 12oz and 24oz bottles, as well as on draft for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $10.99 for a six-pack of 12oz bottles.
