UK-based dairy company Muller has introduced its milkshake brand FRijj in a new 900ml bottle across the country.

Recent research by the company found that FRijj consumers were looking for a larger portion size that can be refrigerated.

The new 900ml FRijj will be available in Strawberry and Fudge Brownie flavours for a recommended retail price (RRP) of £1.50.

The company is also planning to introduce new flavours in the near future.

“It’s our job to constantly re-evaluate our portfolio and improve it to meet the changing needs of the consumer.”

Müller chief marketing officer Michael Inpong said: “Milk drinks are seen as a major area of opportunity for the dairy industry, and it’s our job to constantly re-evaluate our portfolio and improve it to meet the changing needs of the consumer.

“Our research found that consumers wanted a larger shareable portion and an on-the-go 400ml portion, and we’re really excited to have both in the market.

“With FRijj, which is the Official Milk Drink of British Athletics, we’re targeting new consumption occasions, offering zero added sugar alternatives, creating inspiring on-pack promotions and since last year, we’ve also brought FRijj back onto UK TV screens after five years away.”

By making a series of investments, Muller intends to develop efficient manufacturing and logistics networks, as well as create a new centre of excellence for milk drinks and fresh cream at its Severnside site in the UK.
