Arla is set to release a new co-branded organic milk bottle across McDonald’s restaurants in the UK.

The new 250ml bottle will feature the logos of both Arla and McDonald's. It will be sold as part of the Happy Meal boxes in more than 1,270 UK locations and is expected to reach more than 5.5 million customers annually.

The new initiative is part of Arla’s efforts to make its brand more accessible to customers.

Arla Foods UK food service vice-president Jonathan Dixon said: “Arla has been working on a range of initiatives in recent months aimed at making organic milk more accessible to our consumers.

"We have recently repositioned our branded organic milk as Arla Organic Milk to highlight its free range credentials."

“We have recently repositioned our branded organic milk as Arla Organic Milk to highlight its free range credentials, and the rollout of Arla Organic Milk 250ml into McDonald’s restaurants across the country is a great way for us to expand the reach of our products."

Arla has been supplying Mcdonald's with milk since 2007, which is used in its tea, coffee, and porridge offerings.

As a result of the growing partnership, Arla is expected to supply more than 30 million litres of organic milk to McDonald’s this year in the UK.

Both companies have also worked together on a series of agricultural initiatives, with an objective to improve animal welfare, sustainability, and farmer resilience.
