Chivas Regal, a brand of Pernod Ricard, has introduced blended malt Scotch whisky, called Chivas Regal Ultis, which is comprised of five single malts sourced from distilleries from Speyside, Scotland.

Carrying a recommended retail price (RRP) of $200, the drink contains single malt whisky distilled at Tormore, Longmorn, Strathisla, Allt A’Bhainne, and Braeval in Speyside.

Th drink pays homage to the five master blenders from Chivas Regal since the company was launched in 1909; Charles Howard, Charles Julian, Allan Baillie, Jimmy Lang, and Colin Scott.

"To launch the first blended malt Scotch whisky from the house of Chivas is truly a momentous occasion."

The brand stated that not even 1% of its casks in inventory have been individually chosen by the blending team to create the drink.

Chivas Regal current master blender Colin Scott was quoted by thespiritsbusiness.com as saying: “I am honoured to have been one of only five master blenders for Chivas Regal, and I believe that Chivas Regal Ultis represents the true essence of this iconic Scotch whisky.”

Chivas Regal global brand director Richard Black was quoted by the website as stating: “To launch the first blended malt Scotch whisky from the house of Chivas is truly a momentous occasion.

“Chivas Regal Ultis represents the essence of Chivas Regal and is a fitting tribute to our legendary craftsmen of the past, with recognition of the luxury quality of our Scotch whisky portfolio.”
