Dabur, an Indian FMCG company, has launched jamun (black plum) juice under the Réal Wellnezz brand, in Tetra Pak paper-based cartons.

The non-alcoholic beverage product was launched to cater to the growing consumer demand for healthy products. It caters to the the daily nutritional needs of consumers.

Dabur India marketing head-foods Sanjay Singal was quoted by foodbev.com as saying: "Today's health conscious consumers prefer healthier beverage options. We have been witnessing an increase in consumer demand for a variety of juice flavours, including traditional ones such as coconut, aam panna etc.

"The modern and convenient Tetra Pak packaging also gives consumers the comfort of enjoying Jamun juice all-year-round."

Réal Jamun juice is a natural drink with no added sugar and preservatives.

The juice comes in six-layer tamper-evident Tetra Pak packaging. This packaging protects the drink from oxygen, light and bacterial spoilage, and can be preserved for longer period without the need for preservatives.

Tetra Pak South Asia Markets managing director Kandarp Singh was quoted by the website as saying: "We are happy to build on our partnership with Dabur for its new Wellnezz range. We ensure our packaging solutions offer convenience and a superior drinking experience to modern day consumer who seeks health and convenience at the same time."

Réal Wellnezz Jamun is available in 1l and 200ml packs.
