Winc, an American wine company, has collected $17.5m from a series B round of funding, bringing the company’s total to $30m.

The funding was led by an investment firm named Shining Capital Management, in association with existing investor Bessemer Venture Partners.

Halewood International, an alcoholic beverage manufacturer, has taken over a gin production company named Liverpool Gin, to boost its offering in the spirits sector.

Lakeland Dairies Co-op Society has bought a dairy division located at Banbridge in Ireland from its previous owners, Fane Valley Co-operative Society on 1 May 2016.

Both companies involved in the transaction are Irish, operating as dairy processing co-operatives.

Premium pet care products seller Martin & Martin will soon acquire pet care product manufacturer Nestle Purina Petcare (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd from Nestle South Africa.

Local Purina brands and Nestle’s Purina manufacturing facility, with an employee strength of 96 in N’daben, will be part of the acquisition.
