Scottish whiskey maker Douglas Laing has concluded the Yula trilogy series with the release of a 22 year old limited edition bottle.

This latest addition is an aged Island Malt Scotch Whisky that has been inspired by the ancient Islay legend of a beautiful but tragic Norse goddess.

Douglas Laing’s Yula is a combination of Scotland’s Island Single Malts bottled at natural cask strength of 51.2%, and without any colouring or chill filtration.

The company launched the first edition of Yula in October 2015 and the second edition in September last year.

"Douglas Laing’s Yula is a combination of Scotland’s Island Single Malts bottled at natural cask strength of 51.2%."

Yula’s third beverage is being released globally and is available at specialist Whisky retailers. Douglas Laing has released a total of 900 bottles in the global market.

Douglas Laing Whisky director Cara Laing said: "This final Yula bottle is a stunning example of the care, craft, and investment we put into our Whiskies.

“As we fast approach our 70th year in the industry, we’re well versed at turning out distinctive Whiskies of exceptional quality – this is very much the case with the Yula series. This most recent bottling has aged with a complex backdrop whilst maintaining that archetypal Island character.”
