UK-based pub retailer and brewer Greene King has invested in the Cornelius’ ecoFLO Smart Pump System in order to reduce the energy consumption of its beer cooling systems by more than 50%.

The new cooling system will be rolled out across Greene King’s entire managed estate.

With the introduction of this new cooling system, the company anticipates that it will not only be able to reduce energy consumption but also cut down the operational costs and the levels of Co2 discharged into the atmosphere.

"We’re pleased to be working with Cornelius to deliver the systems to our 1,800 managed sites and look forward to seeing the fantastic results!"

Greene King brewing and operations head David Carr said: “With such a large estate across the UK, it’s really important to us that the systems we have in place are industry-leading and as operationally and environmentally efficient as possible.

“We’re pleased to be working with Cornelius to deliver the systems to our 1,800 managed sites and look forward to seeing the fantastic results!”

The ecoFLO is part of Cornelius’ Advanced Beer Cooler Technology programme. It features modern design and offers energy efficiency and operational excellence.

Before rolling out the new cooling system across its managed estate, Greene King has tested this system across its 50 pubs for more than 12 months.
