California-based Jackson Family Wines has acquired WillaKenzie Estate in Oregon for an undisclosed amount.

This is Jackson Family Wines' second acquisition in Willamette Valley vineyard this year, reported statesmanjournal.com.

With the latest deal, Jackson Family Wines has acquired the Willakenzie brand and 40ha of land planted with grapes in Yamhill-Carlton area.

"The distinct, vivid wines of WillaKenzie Estate complement our Willamette Valley offerings."

The acquisition also includes 10ha of planted Pinot Noir clones in the Jory Hills area of Dundee Hills, reported decanter.com.

Jackson Family Wines president Hugh Reimers was quoted by statesmanjournal.com as saying: “The distinct, vivid wines of WillaKenzie Estate complement our Willamette Valley offerings.”

The company is also planning to develop a laboratory and winery in an area it acquired in January in McMinnville.

Jackson Family Wines owns several properties in California and Oregon.

It also has vineyards in Europe, Australia, Africa and South America.

Willakenzie was co-founded by Bernard and Ronni Lacroute over two decades ago.
