US-based brewery Pisco Portón has added Pisco Portón Acholado to its portfolio.

The latest launch comes following the growth of the company's flagship product Pisco Portón Mosto Verde, and then La Caravedo Quebranta, and increasing consumer demand for pisco.

According to the firm, Pisco Portón Acholado has been produced with the same quality, authenticity, and heritage as its other offerings.

"We are thrilled to offer Pisco Portón Acholado to the US market and to expand our award winning portfolio."

Pisco Portón president Brent Kallop said: "We are thrilled to offer Pisco Portón Acholado to the US market and to expand our award winning portfolio.

"US consumers are looking for high-quality pisco with demand increasing 59% in 2015. Our flagship, Pisco Portón Mosto Verde, leads the pisco category as the #1 exported pisco to the US from Peru, and our pisco puro, La Caravedo Quebranta, is already the third largest after only 14 months in the US.

“We wanted to expand our offering to include an acholado that provides a premium blend, rounds out the portfolio to offer all three styles of Peruvian pisco, and provides an exceptional cocktail experience.

“We are proud of Pisco Portón Acholado’s recent awards and appreciate the recognition of our efforts to produce the finest handcrafted piscos."

Pisco Portón Acholado is a smooth, delicate blend of three estate-grown grapes. The company claims that each bottle of Pisco Portón Acholado contains eight pounds of grapes.

Pisco Portón master distiller Johnny Schuler said: “It's exciting to bring Pisco Portón Acholado to the US market, and it allows us to reach more people and share the heritage of our native spirit and the tradition of Hacienda La Caravedo.

“Pisco Portón Acholado's notes of citrus, herbs, and orange blossoms provide a wonderful and exciting cocktail experience.”
