Ireland-based producer Teeling Whiskey has unveiled third limited edition offering Revival Volume III, expanding its current range of Revival single malt whiskies.

While the first Revival expression was launched in 2015 to mark the opening of the Teeling Whiskey distillery, the new release marks its 18-month anniversary.

Revival Volume III is prepared using a 14-year old single malt Irish whiskey distilled in 2002.

The spirit was initially matured in ex-Bourbon casks before transferring to 350l ex-Pineau Des Charentes casks for the pressed grape and dried fruit flavour.

Teeling Whiskey's founder and managing director Jack Teeling said: “It is hard to believe we are just 18 months away from having Irish whiskey distilled from our new distillery in Dublin and to honour this half way point we have decided to release something very unique to mark the occasion with the first ever Pineau des Charentes finished Irish whiskey.

"Our third Revival release will be limited to only 10,000 bottles and sold both through our distillery and our domestic and international distributors."

The new Irish whiskey imparts dried fruit, toffee pineapple, toasted almond, and dark chocolate flavours, which are complemeted by honey and hazelnuts.

Bottled at 46% alcohol by volume (ABV) without chill filtration, only 10,000 bottles of the Revival Volume III are available through the company's distillery in Newmarket Dublin 8, Dublin Airport, the Celtic Whiskey Stop, as well as all independent off licences.

The firm plans to further expand the offering to international markets such as the UK, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark and Italy.
