Sparkling wine producer Rathfinny Wine Estate is set to launch its Blanc de Blancs 2014 and Rosé Brut 2015 wines in Hong Kong later this year.

As part of this initiative, the company has appointed Greater China’s Jebsen Fine Wines as its exclusive distributor in the Hong Kong region.

Located in the UK, Rathfinny Wine Estate was founded in 2010.

Rathfinny co-owner Mark Driver said: “We are delighted to be embarking on this exciting journey with Jebsen, one of the most highly regarded distributors in Hong Kong, synonymous with its first-rate portfolio, exceptional knowledge of the market and, perhaps most importantly for us, its strong relationships within the trade.”

“For such a new English wine producer, Rathfinny has already gained an enviable reputation and profile within the UK.”

Rathfinny launched its first sparkling wine in April in London, UK, and officially released it on 1 June.

Since its inception, the company has been planning to sell up to 50% of its production to the key overseas markets within Asia, Europe and North America.

Rathfinny focuses on on-trade, independent off-trade accounts and has agreed to supply its wine products to the Savoy Hotel, Annabel’s, Harvey Nichols, Berry Brothers & Rudd and Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons in the UK.

Jebsen managing director Gavin Jones said: “We are very proud to be working as the exclusive Hong Kong distributor for Rathfinny Wine Estate. For such a new English wine producer, Rathfinny has already gained an enviable reputation and profile within the UK.

“Mark, Sarah and the team have instilled a confidence and attention to detail which permeates every aspect of their brand that we at Jebsen find both unique and admirable.”
