Beam

Beam has added 2 Gingers brand to its Irish Whisky portfolio and hired 2 Gingers founder Kieran Folliard as its chief Irish whisky ambassador in the US.

Produced at Beam’s Kilbeggan Distilling Company, 2 Gingers is a blended Irish whisky that is distilled twice and aged for four years in the mild climate at Cooley Distillery in Ireland to form a blend that is smooth, malty and sweet with tinge of honey and citrus and caramel and vanilla finish.

The brand also inspired Folliard to make two trademarked signature cocktails – Big Ginger and Skinny Ginger.

Folliard introduced 2 Gingers whisky in Minnesota in January 2012 and soon became fastest growing Irish whisky brand in the region.

As the new 2 Gingers chief operating officer and Kilbeggan Distilling chief ambassador, Kieran Folliard will be responsible for marketing, promoting and driving growth for Beam’s entire Irish whisky portfolio including the 2 Gingers.

Folliard will also lead the developments between the American customer base and the Kilbeggan Distillery and Visitor Center in County Westmeath, Ireland.

Beam whisky general manager Chris Bauder said in early 2012, they entered Irish whisky category by acquiring Kilbeggan brand.

"And now we’re taking another step forward to expand our Irish Whiskey business in the U.S. with the addition of Kieran Folliard and 2 GINGERS to our Beam Irish Whiskey family," he added.
