DFV Wines, a California-based family-owned winery, has added two new wines – Inspiration White and Inspiration Red – to the HandCraft Artisan Collection portfolio of wines.

The wines are the brainchild of vintner Cheryl Indelicato, who partnered with winemaker Alicia Ysais to craft Inspiration wines.

Inspiration White wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Riesling, Moscato and Pinot Grigio.

It offers hints of bright citrus, honeysuckle and green apple.

Cheryl said it is like sunshine in a glass.

The Inspiration Red wine is a blend of Syrah, Zinfandel, Merlot, Malbec and Sangiovese.

It offers rich aromas of spice, blackberry and plum, which can be consumed alone or with food.

Cheryl said when they began working on the wine blends, they found that adding Italian heritage varietals lifted the aromatics and highlighted the fruit.

"Inspiration Red has a touch of Sangiovese and Inspiration White features Pinot Grigio," Cheryl added.

Inspiration White and Inspiration Red blend are available for purchase from this month at a suggested retail price of $12.99 each.

The Inspiration blends join other single varietal wines under the HandCraft Artisan Collection including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah.
